We were selected by The City of San Francisco to illustrate their USDOT Smart City Challenge pitch. Thoughtful urban planning meets visuals that pop in this animated explainer video. San Fransisco made the Smart City Challenge finals–we helped take them there. Highlights include interviews with SF Mayor Edwin Lee, UC Berkeley Chancellor Nicholas Dirks, and UC Berkeley professor Susan Shaheen.

William co-founded Astro with Gage Newman in 2012. He is a video producer with a specialization in cinematgraphy. Originally he studied Economics at Macalester College, afterwards transitioning into media production. He has created relationships with a diverse group of clients including the Obama Foundation, Vox Media, the City of San Francisco, and more.

Astro was founded in 2012 in Cambridge, Mass. by Will Chilton and Gage Newman, two friends from the Bay State who met while studying abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
